| History
behind the art: |
|
For those who actually do want to know how I got into art;
here is why. I started playing a game called Delta Force created
by Novalogic
around seventh grade which was between 1999 and 2000. Much
like any online multiplayer game it got rather addicting.
So much so that I spent almost every waking minute playing
it. I had absoultly no social life at all. What my parents
thought would be the death of me eventually turned into what
will be my future. It also the key reason why I am at Columbia
College and so cought up in computer graphics. I got so into
the game that I wanted to know everything about it. I learned
more about the graphic aspect on how they created the models.
I slowly learned about different kinds of graphics and the
tools they made to use them. Such as abstract art, modeling,
2d vector and so on. Since then I have been hooked. After
my addiction with Delta Force I started fully getting to webdesign
and computer graphics. I later learned of a site called Deviant
Art, and this site alone helped me get to where I am today.
The game got me cought up in a lot of things, but it was at
Deviant
Art where my inspiration on creativity hit a new level.
When I first learned how to create 3D abstract art through
a tutorial I found online I was able to mix things up and
it opened up a whole new world to my artwork. You can actually
see the changes over time at flashmind.deviantart.com.
Below is my first art pieces up to the point where I am today.
Though this is only a breif summary of my history into the
art community. I am happy to say I don't regret anything when
it comes to how I got here. There are certain people who though
the game took over my life and it did, but they too never
know it would be the start of somthing a lot bigger in my
life. I never in my wildest dreams thought an addicting game
can turn into somthing that will one day be my future work.
It goes to show you that inspiration can come from anywhere
at anytime and you may not even know until later on. |
